The course offers a technical, hands-on approach to key topics such as durability and building envelope in construction. The goal of the day is to understand the requirements for air-tightness and waterproofing in construction, from the ground up. This includes the application of membranes, tapes, the importance of sealing service penetrations, and window installations.

Learn how to design and build structures that not only meet immediate needs but also maintain functionality, safety, and aesthetics over time. A practical training experience, enriched with real examples and case studies, designed for those who aim to deliver quality and reliability.

Joining this course means investing in expertise and prevention. It’s an investment that pays off with immediate savings and long-lasting knowledge. With practical tools and technical guidance, you’ll be able to avoid mistakes that can lead to costly consequences on site.

CONTENTS

The course includes both theoretical and a practical session.
The theoretical part will be explored in depth during a theory session, focusing on tapes and membranes, their functions, and how to use them correctly.

Then the practical workshop will then concentrate on the application of tapes and membranes in different scenarios, like windows and service penetrations.

The program combines theoretical knowledge, and real-world case studies, with a strong focus on the design and installation of high-performance building envelopes in line with the highest quality standards.

  • Introduction to durability: airtightness and waterproofing
  • Membrane types and importance of taping
  • Correct selection, installation and detailing
  • Application of membranes, laying and application of tapes
