DEMOUNTABLE STEEL-TO-TIMBER CONNECTION RING
Demountable steel-to-timber connector for timber steel structures and hybrid structures
In timber-steel structures and CLT buildings, the steel-to-timber connection requires resistance, tolerance control and efficient assembly.
RING is a demountable connector for timber-to-steel, timber-to-concrete and timber-to-timber connections between panels and beams. The circular geometry positions it completely inside the timber element, making installation from one side only possible without double-sided access.
Available in two versions: one for timber-to-timber connections (RING60T) and one for steel-to-timber connections (RING90C) with M16 bolt.
RING is certified according to ETA-25/0316.
Steel-to-timber connections: technical features of RING
RING60T and RING90C are developed for timber-to-timber and steel-to-timber connections in applications requiring high performance and efficient integration between prefabrication and on-site assembly.
Technical features:
• tension resistance up to 63.2 kN and compression resistance up to 77.0 kN
• installation from one side of the panel only
• hole/connector tolerance up to +1 mm
• through, non-through and spaced configurations
• disassembly with screws or M16 bolt
• S355 steel with Fe/Zn12c treatment and SC1-SC2 service classes
Steel-to-timber connections: applying the connection in the steel-to-timber version
The RING90C version is designed for steel-to-timber connections in hybrid structures. With M16 bolting, the connection is reversible, accessible from one side only and also suitable for timber-to-concrete and timber-to-timber connections.
Timber-to-timber connections: RING60T for floor, wall and beam
RING60T is the connector for timber-to-timber connections between panels and beams. With 60 mm overall dimensions and a single LBSHEVO screw type, it replaces brackets, screws and plates in floor-to-floor, floor-to-wall and wall-to-wall connections, with installation from one side only.
RING on site: one-sided installation and prefabrication
With RING, CLT panels and beams can be connected without machining on both sides. Floor-to-floor, wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor configurations can be installed from one side of the panel only, reducing installation times and on-site complexity.
The system is compatible with off-site prefabrication: it can be pre-installed in the factory and assembled with limited machining. The tolerance up to +1 mm compensates for inaccuracies without the need for on-site modifications.
