It can be installed quickly and precisely because of its fully adhesive back surface, its milled surface that facilitates folding and its pre-cut liner.
SILENT EDGE is made of cross-linked polyethylene foam with acrylic glue and silicone film liner, it is characterised by a closed-cell structure that makes it airtight and waterproof even if cut or trimmed after application.
It does not contain substances harmful for people and the environment.

Supply and installation of self-adhesive strip for perimeter separation, type SILENT EDGE
- Closed-cell polyethylene with acrylic glue and silicone film liner. Does not contain harmful substances
- Dynamic stiffness s’ [MN/m³] :
- Theoretical estimate of the degree of impact sound attenuation ∆L [dB] : 20-25
- Thickness [mm] : 4
Suitable for timber-to-timber installation to create a physical and mechanical separation between the two elements, thus avoiding the transmission of vibrations caused by impact sound. To increase the vibration absorption capacity, it is advisable to install the profile both below and above the timber floor. Install the profile on the upper section of the wall and fix it mechanically with staples every 40/60 cm. Then install the horizontal panel of the floor and repeat the operation. SILENT EDGE is placed to complete the anti-impact sound layer in order to create a state-of-the-art way resilient layer. SILENT EDGE is placed along the perimeter taking advantage of the pre-cut that allows a fast and precise installation.
