XYLOFON WASHER
SEPARATING WASHER FOR WOOD SCREWS
The acoustic insulator in timber-to-timber joints with screws or angle brackets for tensile forces is XYLOFON WASHER. Used as a sound absorber for metal connections, it avoids acoustic bridges and does not deform over time as a result of the polyurethane compound.
The washer increases the rope effect in the connection, improving the static performance of the detail.
APPLICATIONS
• As an acoustic insulator in timber-to-timber joints with metal screws
• Placed between angle brackets for tensile forces and timber floors and walls
Description
The theoretical estimate of vibration reduction for specific configurations is 18 dB.
