CATCH drill bit holder: fast, safe driving of long screws, even in awkward corners
CATCH and CATCHL are Rothoblaas screw-driving devices designed for fast, safe and effortless driving of long timber screws with a drill driver. The screw head is held firmly in the tool — the bit cannot slip out, even while the drill driver is rotating, eliminating the risk of damage to the screw head.
Particularly useful in awkward corners and positions where only limited force can be applied, CATCH and CATCHL allow screws to be driven accurately even in hard-to-reach areas. Compatible with any standard drill driver with SW 11.5 hexagonal shank.
The two versions cover a wide range of Rothoblaas timber screws: CATCH (L = 210 mm, 1/4" connection, TX40 bit included) is compatible with HBS Ø8 mm countersunk-head screws, VGS Ø9 mm countersunk-head screws and VGZ Ø9 mm cylindrical-head screws; CATCHL (L = 207 mm, 5/16" connection, TX40L and TX50 bits included) is compatible with HBS Ø10–12 mm countersunk-head screws and VGS Ø11–13 mm countersunk-head screws.
CATCH and CATCHL: one screw-driving tool, two configurations
CATCH and CATCHL are the two CATCH variants designed to help optimise working times on site and in production.
CATCH is ideal for medium-diameter structural screws (HBS Ø8, VGS Ø9, VGZ Ø9); CATCHL is designed for larger-diameter screws (HBS Ø10–12, VGS Ø11–13). It keeps the screw securely in position throughout the entire driving process, reducing operator effort even in awkward positions or confined spaces.
How do you use CATCH to drive long timber screws without the bit slipping?
CATCH is fitted to the drill driver via the SW 11.5 hexagonal head and mechanically locks the screw head in place during driving: the bit remains engaged even in difficult or angled positions. Choose CATCH for HBS Ø8 mm, VGS Ø9 mm and VGZ Ø9 mm screws; CATCHL for larger diameters (HBS Ø10–12 mm, VGS Ø11–13 mm).
Both versions include the specific bits required for the compatible screws. For tightening torque control.
