Learning display for CLT construction School House CLT
Educational applications to learn CLT construction
SCHOOL HOUSE is an educational display designed to learn how to build with CLT through a practical assembly experience. The kit guides students, designers and training participants in building a scale model with structural elements in CLT.
The system includes pre-cut panels, glulam beams and a selection of structural connectors used in CLT construction, allowing participants to simulate the main assembly phases of an engineered timber structure.
The display allows participants to understand how connections work, showing how structural screws, plates and connectors work together to transfer loads between panels and beams.
The kit is designed for training activities, workshops and technical courses dedicated to CLT construction.
In addition to assembling the structure, the system allows participants to explore other design aspects of timber construction:
-acoustics and vibration insulation in CLT structures
-sustainability of timber construction
-design thinking exercises with design variations of the model
The kit also includes components to demonstrate the acoustic behavior of connections, such as XYLOFON®, used for managing impact noise and vibrations.
Components and connection systems used in CLT construction
The SCHOOL HOUSE educational display integrates several fastening and connection systems used in CLT structures.
Among the components included in the kit there are real examples of connection systems used in CLT construction, including screws such as HBS and HBS, VGZ, VGZ, plates such as LOCK T, ALUMIDI, WHT and the TITAN range, and acoustic insulation solutions such as XYLOFON and ALADIN.
To support the understanding of the system, the product is accompanied by dedicated technical documentation:
-Technical Data Sheet
-Installation Manual
-3D exploded model
-BIM object for timber elements (.IFC)
